My name is Isa Ingram.  This book was a passion project of mine, rooted in a lifetime of feeling a deep sense of otherness.  I've learned over the years that leaning into that feeling of difference, and learning to love it, has been the key to my embodiment, and my happiness.  I've learned to find comfort in the richness of my soul, and to honor the depth of my earnest, passionate heart.

I honestly went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to publish this book, or whether the process of writing it was enough.  I shelved it for a good long while.  But it seemed as if there was a spirit that kept whispering in my ear, beseeching me to share the book with others.

There is a real wound in our culture, and in our world; a belief that only certain ways of living, and being, are worthy of being loved.  It is in the spirit of healing that wound that I share this book with you.
